Refund policy
Warranty Coverage
All products sold by Precision Measurement Tools include a 12‑month manufacturer’s warranty covering defects in materials and manufacturing.
This warranty does not cover:
• Damage caused by misuse, user error, improper maintenance, modification, or abnormal operating conditions
• Software
• Second‑hand items
• Consumables or calibration drift
• Obsolete or discontinued items
Where a valid warranty claim is accepted, repair is the primary remedy. If repair is not viable, a replacement unit will be supplied. Refunds or credits may be offered only by prior written agreement.
Submitting a Warranty Claim
To lodge a warranty claim, customers must provide:
• The original order number or invoice showing customer name and date of purchase
• A written description of the issue
Claims should be submitted within 7 days of the customer becoming aware of the fault. Customers must allow us or our supplier to inspect and test the product to determine the cause of the issue.
Returns (Change of Mind or Non‑Warranty)
Returns are considered case‑by‑case and must be approved in writing by the supplier before the item is sent back.
To be eligible for return:
• The product must be in original, unused condition
• All packaging, accessories, and documentation must be included
• The item must not be customised, non‑standard, specialised, or obsolete
Customised or special‑order products are generally non‑returnable and non‑cancellable.
Shipping for Returns & Warranty Claims
Unless otherwise agreed in writing:
• Customers are responsible for freight and handling costs for returning items
If a warranty claim is approved, repaired or replacement items will be returned to the customer at no additional charge.
Assessment & Resolution
Once the returned item is received, it will be inspected and tested. Outcomes may include:
• Repair (preferred remedy)
• Replacement if repair is not viable
• Refund or store credit only where agreed in advance
We aim to process assessments promptly, but timeframes may vary depending on the product and the nature of the fault.
